Generosity for our G.I.s

Bernard "Bernie" Marcus made a name for himself in the business world when he co-founded the Home Depot Corporation. But he has done something truly magnanimous to help seriously wounded soldiers coming home from Iraq and Afghanistan. He started 'Project Share' to ensure that soliders, who have suffered spinal and TBI (traumatic brain injuries), will get world class rehabilitation at the Shepherd Center, in Atlanta. Project Share will underwrite the costs of care, transportation and housing for the soldiers approved for treatment and the family members who accompany them. Marcus calls it his way to say 'thank you' to these men and women for their heroic service to the nation. He also issued a challenge to other corporate CEOs and philanthropists to join Project Share. And you can help, too. If you'd like to donate, just go to the website, www.Shepherd.org, or call his number. (404) 603-4950. Marcus helps others because he feels compelled to use his wealth for good. Hopefully you will, too, out of compassion for those who have suffered so much wearing the uniform. "The deed is everything, the glory naught." Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. And please pray for everyone in the military and their families on the homefront.
